Building Brighter Futures

Building Brighter Futures supports people across Malvern Hills District who have been out of work long-term due to health, caring responsibilities, or other barriers – helping them build skills and confidence to move into employment.

What is Building Brighter Futures?

Our Wellbeing and Lifeskills adviser works with people across the whole of the Malvern Hills District, offering personalised help and support to people who have been out of work for a long period of time or who have never been in employment because of health conditions, caring responsibilities or other barriers.

People are supported to find solutions to issues such as housing and debt, connect with training and volunteering opportunities, build confidence and interpersonal skills, help with job applications, CV writing and the interview process, and ultimately to move into employment.

A few years ago I suffered some mental health issues, due to work pressures. I had to leave that job, I was struggling to find reemployment. I contacted Matt [at Building Brighter Futures] who has sessions at Upton Baptist Church and with his help, I started a new job a month ago. The team I work with are very supportive and kind. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Matt for the support and advice
